George Andrews said: This trail should be rated moderate; some hills and, more important, a pair of stream crossings by rock-hopping, which is tricky (at best) when the water is up. The hills come at the beginning of the trail as it leaves the confluence of Shinny Creek and Jacob Fork River, and at the end as you approach the Upper Falls Trail. The first mile or so of the trail is an unpaved jeep trail that gives way to a footpath once you pass the Shinny Creek campsites and is a nice walk in the woods above there.
