Description
Climbs from Forrest Falls toward the upper reaches of Shope Creek along old logging roads. Enters a nearly flat area below Wolfden Knob at its upper end, which is wet with several tributaries. Identified as roads "I" and "J" on the Shope Creek logging project map. Take a left on the old road bed before the first major stream crossing to reach Wolfden Falls. The next left is a (sort of) dead-end old logging road which goes up the west side of the main stream of Shope Creek. Take a right on the trail leading downhill after crossing Shope Creek to loop back to Forrest Falls. An old logging road leading left on the other side of Shope Creek leads uphill through a tributary cove toward the base of Lane Pinnacle.
