Ed Pressly said: challenging and 90% up hill on the connection trails to Clingman's Dome. Start at Huskey Gap, treck through Fighting Creek Gap and then up, up at a steady climb --- with this start the hike is 16 miles and doable if young and fit. Great place to meet a pick up driver with refreshments at the top observation tower.
